This text was written by a Greek writer Dimitri A. Christakis. The writer says that the children watch TV around 3 or 5 years in a day. In 1961 a baby around 3 years used to watch TV. But now nine month baby starts watching TV. Though their parents have negative thoughts about their children’s watching TV e.g. watching TV makes poor eye-sight. But these thoughts gradually disappear. The writer says that some people believe that TV makes kids dumb but programmes like Sesame Street and Blues Clubs improve children’s cognitive abilities. Anything that is invited has advantages and disadvantages. Nothing is there which has only advantages so it is difficult to agree who speak in favor watching TV and who speak against watching TV. But it is necessary to care children. We should take care of them about what they are doing in a TV room.

When I read this text, I knew much about watching TV. Before reading this text, I used to say TV has disadvantages but by reading this text I knew that watching TV depends on use. We should utilize our valuable time properly and get our children watch TV with family members in appropriate time.
